Villa Savoye Redesigned

Thermofluids: Energy & Design: Carbon Neutral Housing

Project Date: December 2021

Le Corbusier is one of my favorite architects. His forms and simplicity are engaging and meaningful. So when I was tasked to choose a housing archetype to redesign for energy consumption, Villa Savoye was a no-brainer. I introduce four key interventions to reduce the carbon footprint of the estate: new piping, upgraded insulation, rooftop solar panel for EV charging, and rainwater collection + redistribution.
